Job summary

Resourcing Manager - Band 6 (subject for job matching) 37.5 hours - Permanent positionHybrid Working

This is a newly created role to lead our recruitment team in providing a customer focused service to our managers and candidates that is friendly, efficient and professional.

You will be oversee national and international recruitment programmes, provide support to recruitment open days and other events, and establish/maintain our social media presence for resourcing purposes.

You will also be required to ensure delivery against the service KPIs and quality check the service through reviews and/or audit.

You will need to have experience of managing recruitment processes within the NHS, managing DBS processes and procedures, supervisory or management experience and ideally knowledge of Border and Immigration requirements in relation to Tier 2 visas.

Experience of social media campaigns and use of Canva would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the leadership and day to day line management of a small recruitment team made up of Recruitment Co-ordinators and Recruitment Officers within their area of responsibility.

You will role model excellent customer service, working with the recruitment team in order to provide a positive customer (applicant and hiring manager) experience while ensuring an efficient, reliable and responsive central recruitment and selection service, that contributes to the development of the recruitment service as a centre of excellence.

The service will be responsive to the needs of the organisation and aligned to the Trust's corporate objectives.

The post holder will work independently to deliver new projects and work streams that add value to the recruitment process Trust wide.

The post holder will provide strategic oversight and consistency across the Trusts recruitment delivery.

To line manage, supervise and support the development of, Recruitment Co-ordinators and Officers within area of responsibility, demonstrating a supportive, motivational and problem solving approach and encouraging the development of resourcing skills through team working and training and development.

  1. Provide, analyse, and report timely data and information on the progress of recruitment plans including tracking candidate attrition, time to hire and success of recruitment campaigns.

  1. Bring to the attention of the HR Business Partner any issues contrary to the provision of a quality service, through the tracking and monitoring of all recruitment and selection activity.

  1. Contribute and participate in working groups and policy groups as and when required implementing any necessary changes and ensuring the team and any others affected are briefed and trained in any changes.

  1. Propose policy and service improvements in line with changes to legislation, survey and audit reports.

To manage service delivery, ensuring that key deliverables against KPIs are achieved and taking appropriate actions where these are not being achievTo be accountable for the communication and delivery of recruitment standards, procedures and best practice and to work with resourcing colleagues to ensure a consistent approach is followed across the Trust.

  1. To provide coaching and advice regarding recruitment best practice to the recruitment team, Trust managers, and other stakeholders.
  2. To proactively engage with all HR teams to ensure service efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  3. To liaise with and work proactively with client managers to ensure the recruitment service is responsive to their workforce requirements.
  4. To undertake regular audits to monitor team effectiveness and to identify problems and implement strategies for improvement.
  5. To undertake specific projects to support the delivery of wider Workforce and Organisational Development strategy within own service area and across the Trust as appropriate.
  6. To propose changes on a range of recruitment processes and activities, to ensure these reflect current best practice and compliance with relevant legislation.
  7. To support and co-operate with the Resourcing Partners and Senior Recruitment Managers in order to ensure that the Recruitment service is responsive to the requirements of the Clinical Groups and corporate directorates.
