Job summary

The Greater Manchester HRBP team are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and professional HR Advisor to join the team.

The role will be based in Whitefield with the opportunity for some home working. However, there will be the requirement to travel regularly to all areas within the Greater Manchester area as well as other locations within the Trust.

The role will provide a comprehensive HR service to managers and staff and work closely with local management teams to support and advise them on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, employment legislation and a number of other matters.

A key part of the role will be providing effective advice and support to managers in relation to formal investigations and supporting them at hearings on both disciplinary and grievance matters.

It is also essential that the successful candidate can develop strong relationships with Trade Unions and staff representatives and work in partnership with them on the management of individual cases and in relevant consultation forums.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will possess Level 5 (CHECK) CIPD qualification or equivalent along with significant HR experience of supporting managers and staff with a range of general HR issues and the ability to interpret and advise on a number of policies and procedures as well as complex terms and conditions.

In addition, they must be able to demonstrate:

About us

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
