Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible working Assurance Coordinator vacancy to manage subcontractor (taxi and ambulance) invoicing, quality and overall performance on behalf of the Paramedic Emergency (PES), Patient Transport (PTS) and NHS 111 services. The role will require attention to detail when validating invoices in addition to using initiative when analysing data to identify opportunities for improved and more efficient ways of working. Excellent organisational, data analysis and communication skills are essential for this role.

Main duties of the job

Monitoring and validation of expense and invoicing claims for third party subcontractor taxi and Section 19 (not for profit organisations) resources.

Collation and analysis of data to develop invoice validation tools to enable accurate invoice validation.

Analysis of subcontractor usage and coverage to identify areas of high activity / low availability. Identify potential new subcontractors and engage with them to support their application to work on the NWAS contract.

Maintenance of paper and computer records for subcontractors working within Information Governance protocols.

Analysis of quality performance information from subcontractors to ensure the achievement of quality across Service Delivery is maximized.

Through analysis of subcontractor usage, identify efficiency opportunities and work with the relevant departments to embed change to achieve the efficiencies. Monitor and evaluate pre and post change impacts.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
