Job summary
The new role of Digital Contracts Manager has been created to ensure suppliers of key critical operational systems and services are held to account, providing the required quality of service and value for money.
This is a key role within the Digital Team reporting to the Head of Digital Services, delivering and managing Trust-wide Digital contracts.
Regular travel in your own vehicle may be required across the North West and occasionally nationally (subject to Agenda for Change terms and conditions) whilst a reduction in unnecessary journeys via the use of technology will be actively encouraged.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to provide effective, professional and managerial leadership to ensure 3rd party suppliers perform against Service Level Agreements, achieve Key Performance Indicators and remain within budget.
The post holder will be responsible for the evaluation, procurement and contract management of major and critical digital systems, including Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) related systems.
Where required, the post holder will be responsible for the management of system developments and implementation within the scope of digital contract delivery.
The post holder will actively participate in the definition of the strategy for Digital to ensure exiting/future 3rd party contracts meet the changing requirements of service delivery for the Trust.
The post is responsible for the development of systems, policy and processes to underpin robust contract management and reporting frameworks. The role requires a high level of personal responsibility and autonomy to act within the delegated area of responsibility. The role involves operating in a complex, multidisciplinary environment and requires the highest level of inter-personal, communication and influencing and negotiation skills to ensure delivery of objectives.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
