Senior Clinical Advisors NHS 111 - Band 6 (Nurses & Paramedics).

With openings at our NHS 111 contact centre based either in Middlebrook, Bolton or Estuary Point, Speke, as a Senior Clinical Advisor you will be responsible for the telephone & video assessment of callers with a wide spectrum of clinical conditions and ensuring they get the right care, at the right time, in the right place; every time.
Training for this role is on a full-time basis and lasts between 5 and 10 weeks, depending on the triage tool that staff are being trained to use. The classroom element of the training is Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00, with mentorship taking place working shifts with experienced staff taking live calls. Candidates must ensure that they are able to commit to this training IN FULL, as no annual leave can be taken whilst in training.
Main duties of the job
What we are looking for:
- Registered nurse's or paramedics with at least 3 years' experience; preferably in a pre-hospital, primary care or ED setting.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills to support staff.
- Resilient, highly motivated and passionate about delivering quality patient care.
- An ability to adapt to a new and challenging setting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Candidates who are fully flexible with availability to cover a 24/7 period, inc working 6/8 weekend shifts per month

- Contracts available for minimum of 20 hours up to 37.5 hours.
- Partial homeworking may be considered after the probationary period.
- Basic salary of £35,392 - £42,618 (pro rata for part time staff) plus A4C Section 2 unsocial hour's payments.

About us
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
