Job summary

Agenda for Change - Band 5 -£28,407.00 to £34,581.00 per annum plus a percentage of unsocial hours payment dependent on rota and hours worked in line with Section 2 of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions of Service Handbook.

Main duties of the job

A valid EU driving licence with no more than 3 endorsements. Any person with a drink driving conviction in the last five years (whether or not spent) will not be considered for the role.

You must hold C1 on your driver's licence in provisional or full to apply, and in full before a start date is confirmed. Any applications received without this entitlement will be withdrawn. C1 training/tests are to be sourced and funded by applicants.

Maximum weight of the post holder to be no more than 120kg as assessed by the Trust Occupational Health provider. (This limit equates to approximately 18 stone 12 lbs. and reflects the manufacturer's vehicle cab safe seat weight limit).

About us

To participate in a structured programme to properly integrate and support newly qualified paramedics into the ambulance service workplace, enabling time to consistently apply academic knowledge, skills and placement experience in to confident practice. The newly-qualified paramedic (NQP) will expected to undertake a two yeas consolidation of learning.

This will include reflective practice and feedback, where through direct and indirect clinical supervision they will learn to apply their knowledge.

The NQP will be expected to operate within trust clinical policies, JECALC guideline's, protocols, procedures and as directed by the agreed NQP scope of Practice and to seek advise or refer to a more senior NWAS clinician when a decision to deviate is needed.
