Job summary
An enthusiastic Female Muslim Moulana with appropriate experience, is required to join an enthusiastic and well motivated multi-denominational, multi-faith team at Bolton FT Hospital.
We have recently developed a new Faith Facility which includes an expanded Mosque with ablution provision. The department is comprised of both Faith Leaders, voluntary workers and offers opportunities for spiritual care to patients, their relatives and staff on a Multi-Faith basis but ensuring protected characteristics. It provides a 24 hour ecumenical on-call service on a rota basis. You should have excellent communication skills, and able to work as part of a team.
Experience of hospital/hospice work or counselling would be an advantage, but training and support will be given for successful but less experienced candidates.
Main duties of the job
Visiting of patients and their families on the wards.
Supporting staff.
Helping with the provision of religious needs in the Muslim Faith.
Working with other Faiths.
Providing wider pastoral/spiritual/religious needs to the Trust.
May be occasions for extra on-call duties.
About us
The Team is made up of Chaplains from the Muslim, Christian and Hindu Faiths supported by volunteers from all the above Faiths. We have opened just under 2 years ago a new Faith facility which includes a new Mosque, Temple and a Community Hub. In addition there is also a Chapel. It is a busy department in which all the Faiths work closely together ensuring the Trusts Religious/Spiritual/Pastoral requirements are met
