Band 3 Medical Support Secretary, Dermatology (2 full time posts available, part time hours will be considered)
We are looking for a highly organised part time medical support secretary with previous experience in a similar setting to undertake this challenging role within the Dermatology secretarial team, based at the Royal Bolton Hospital. You will work alongside Senior Medical Secretaries and carry out clinical typing and co-ordination of patients' case notes/test results, amongst other general office duties.Candidates should be articulate, capable of undertaking a demanding workload and must be able to demonstrate a significant level of initiative. Candidates should possess advanced keyboard skills including a high standard of word processing skills to at least RSA II or equivalent level qualification/experience. Previous medical secretarial experience and audio typing is desirable.You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise workload and be able to work with little or no supervision. You should be able to integrate well with the existing team and have a genuine desire to provide a quality service to all patients.
The post holder will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to be agreed.

Main duties of the job
- Typing of day-to-day correspondence on behalf of the medics/nurses.
- To provide the secretarial support to clinics and meetings including creating and distributing lists.
- Ensuring investigation results are available as required.
- Use relevant IT systems
