Job summary
We are looking for a highly organised medical secretary with experience in a similar setting to undertake this challenging role within the Gastroenterology Department based at the Royal Bolton Hospital. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team and be an excellent communicator, organised and able to work well under pressure.
Candidates should be articulate, capable of undertaking a demanding workload and must be able to demonstrate a significant level of initiative.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise workload and be able to work with little or no supervision. You should be able to integrate well with the existing team and have a genuine desire to provide a quality service to all patients.
Interviewees will be asked to complete a typing test.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will often be the first point of contact for the service requiring clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative.
The post holder will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems, with the ability to communicate to staff and patients at all levels.
