An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Medical Consultant within an expanded assessment area medical team. This new model will involve working across existing assessment areas, including support of same day emergency care which has been facilitated with a brand new £2.4 million unit.

Main duties of the job
This opportunity will involve working as part of a team responsible for assessing patients in an urgent care setting and providing support with senior decision making early in the patient journey.
This new model has been facilitated by a further £2.6 million investment to support workforce across assessment care which now includes same day emergency care, one assessment ward, and a clinical decisions unit.
The Acute Medical / Surgical teams have developed robust clinical pathways which will underpin patient assessment and Same Day Emergency Care at Bolton. All patients attending the Emergency Department will be assessed utilising the pathways and exclusion criteria to ensure patients are managed effectively and efficiently.
