Staff Nurse - Ward C1

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

There are exciting opportunities within Cardiology (Full and Part Time) to join our highly motivated, dynamic and hardworking team within Specialist Medicine.

There has never been a better time to join our Cardiology team, we have a forward thinking management team who are fully committed to developing staff. Fantastic opportunities for learning will be given, such a specifically designed cardiology programme, with competencies tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

The Trust appreciates and values the contribution international nurses bring to the NHS. We also understand the support overseas nurses need to gain full registration once in the UK (via OSCE) and therefore we only recruit internationally to fill nursing vacancies when we can ensure support is in place. At this present time we aren't in a position to offer that support and therefore will not accept applications from overseas nurses who only have Part 1 NMC registration. If that position changes in future we will clearly advertise our opportunities for international nurses to join our nurse team here in Bolton. Thank you for your understanding.

Main duties of the job

C1 is a 25 bedded Cardiology mixed sex ward, incorporating 11 telemetry beds. It is a busy, vibrant environment and we are looking for conscientious, motivated, committed, positive nurses to join our fabulous team. We are passionate about Cardiology, experience is desired but not essential as full training will be given. Join us here and you will have the opportunity to develop or refresh skills in nursing acute and chronic cardiac conditions in an exciting and advancing speciality. Although we specialise in cardiology our patients can also have numerous other medical conditions so you will have the opportunity to manage patients with multiple co-morbidities.

We have a close working relationship with our coronary care unit and pacing lab in order to provide a seamless service for our patients. We also work together with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care at a local level and have strong links with the northwest cardiac tertiary centres. As a team we are committed to dealing with current and emerging cardiology and general issues in a proactive manner which provides a safe, professional and enriching environment for all.

When working clinically we expect you to perform with passion and drive, provide clinically excellent care, and be supportive to patients, relatives, and other MDT members. As a registered nurse you will be expected to promote and lead the delivery of an excellent standard of patient centred care in a supported environment.

About us

Here at Bolton our patients are at the heart of everything we do. We ensure our patients receive the highest quality of Care and are guided by our trust Values. This is reflected in our latest CQC report.

We pride ourselves in delivering high quality care, so if you are committed to making a difference and have excellent communication skills, then this could be the job for you.
