Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the therapy team in working across our community bed bases in Bolton supporting with patient transport.

The role will predominantly involve driving the therapy van to facilitate discharges and carry out therapy assistant role , when required by the service. The post holder will be expected to carry on 7 day working, as guided by the service changes and needs.

We have a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and training. If you are successful you will be supported to develop professionally as well as provided with regular supervision to support your development and well being.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the wider MDT you will work alongside and support specialist therapy staff in transporting patients to and from destinations.

The purpose of this role is to support the therapist(s) to ensure the patients receive the best care possible.

Preparing the vehicle for use and transporting patients to and from hospital, our bedded units and home of choice.

Undertaking administrative tasks related to the workload

Supporting with access.

To undertake therapy assistant duties as required by the service , under the guidance of therapy staff.
