Job summary
We are looking to expand our clinical team for Dermatology services by recruiting two consultants.
Dermatology is a very busy specialty, providing care to around 550 adult and paediatric patients per week, working alongside experienced colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams with the goal to provide the best care for our patients. We are the best performing Dermatology service within Greater Manchester and this is achieved through great management, support from other services and dedication to providing excellent patient care to our community.
The Dermatology department are very proud of the services we provide to our patients and we would be keen to hear from enthusiastic applicants who want to help us keep providing excellent care and improving the services we offer.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage their own clinical workload and cover all types of dermatological conditions for two week wait, new and follow up patients and ward referrals, as well as performing minor operations and being an integral part of the sector MDT meetings.
There will be opportunities to play a vital role in service development as well as educating and developing staff within the department as we look to grow the services we offer as well as expanding the range of roles within the department.
About us
The service is located within the centre of the hospital site in a dedicated department. The department offers seven clinic rooms, two theatres and a phototherapy unit. We offer a range of clinics led by both consultants and specialist nurses.
We are currently developing a tele-dermatology service alongside our Medical Illustration colleagues and aim to offer a Biologics service to our Bolton population in the near future.
