Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Consultant in Rheumatology, based on 7PAs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join and be an integral member of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary specialist team(s) working alongside other consultants, nurses, pharmacists and therapists to provide safe, effective and efficient care for patients.

Main duties of the job

You will support the multi-disciplinary Rheumatology outpatient base at Bolton One Health centre and deliver 3 outpatient clinics each week which will be a mix of new and follow up activity. In addition to your own clinical administration, formal clinical supervision of junior doctors and MDT is expected. You will also provide specialist advice to other medical staff in respect of any in-patient care, GPs, A&E attendance, intermediate care or longer term disease management. Developing a special interest complementing the existing special interests in the department will be negotiable. There is no out of hours on call commitment for Rheumatology with this post.
