Job summary

Joining our team as an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Officer means being at the heart of fostering an inclusive environment within Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. Working alongside the Head of EDI and the EDI Lead, you will be instrumental in facilitating the implementation of our EDI action plan. Your role will involve coordinating the day-to-day operations of the EDI team, from scheduling meetings and events to providing administrative support for various initiatives.

Main duties of the job

As the first point of contact for EDI-related inquiries, you'll deliver a high standard of service, handling communications with colleagues, managers, and external parties with professionalism and efficiency. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting the preparation of meeting materials and reports, including updating our EDI action plan to reflect our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.

This role is diverse and extends beyond administrative duties. Your contributions encompass supporting our staff networks to excel, promoting EDI values across the Trust via communication channels, organizing and delivering training and events, analysing data for performance reporting, and sensitively addressing concerns and queries related to EDI topics and the Trust's Interpretation and Translation service. Your contributions are vital in advancing our EDI objectives and ensuring compliance with data regulations.
