Job summary
The Specialist Palliative Care Team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust has a fantastic 37.5 hour permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual who is looking for a challenge in a post that is both interesting and varied.
This post holder will be responsible for the daily management of the patient pathway monitoring and facilitation of effective MDT meetings and support of Education program and work plan.

Main duties of the job
Duties will include dedicated administrative support to multi-disciplinary teams and ensures that Specialist MDT meetings run effectively and are well structured.
The post holder will collect and record information using the Somerset Cancer Register, regarding the patient's journey in order to meet both national and local requirements. The role is integral to support and coordinate palliative and end of life care patients.
Working within a the palliative and end of life team the post holder will also support and coordinate the education programme and work plan for end of life careYou will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the desire to work in a patient focussed environment. You will also need to have good IT and organisational skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people, both face to face and over the telephone, as well as work effectively as part of the team. The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines is essential. You will also need to be able to work using your own initiative and without direct supervision. Experience in a clerical/administration role is essential.
