The Paediatric Dietetic Service is a community-based team of eight Dietitians and two assistants working for Bolton Foundation Trust and this post is to provide Clinical Leadership at Band 7 along with two other part time Band 7 Dietitians

Main duties of the job

Provide highly specialist knowledge, skills, training and advice to children, young people and their families, and be a source of expertise for staff, other professionals as part of the MDT and other agencies.Use evidence-based, client-centred principles to provide highly specialised assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and co-ordination of dietetic intervention.The caseload will include Home Enteral Tube feeds within community settings with support from the wider MDT.The role includes the provision of an in-reach service to the acute inpatient ward when required and general community, outpatient clinics.The role will provide the dietetic service for the monthly MDT Allergy Clinic and act as a Clinical Lead in this area.Train, supervise and appraise named staff. To take part in training Dietetic students.Support the Principal Service Lead, and Team Leader and other Dietitians as required.Identify, initiate and implement service developments.Offer clinical leadership for the effective running and development of the Paediatric Dietetic service through audit, development of policies, procedures and guidelines using evidence based practise.
