Job summary

This vacancy is only available for applicants who already hold a current nursing qualification with UK NMC registration.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit Band 5 Public Health Nurses to work in our 0-19/25 integrated public health nursing neighbourhood teams.

These positions are suitable for NMC nursing registrants who wish to gain experience in public health and community nursing. You would be working alongside school nurses, health visitors, nursery nurses, and the wider team to deliver evidence based interventions to children, young people and families in Bolton, with the aim of improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities. The public health nurse role will enable you to gain valuable experience supporting young people families and communities; including early intervention and safeguarding.

Main duties of the job

Bolton's 0-19/25 service is committed to supporting professional development, this role would be ideal for professionals wishing to further their career within public health and specialist practice. The wealth of experience gained will prove beneficial for those individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in health visiting or school nursing and would be looking to make further applications onto the specialist community public health nursing course in the future.
