The reporting Radiographer service at Royal Bolton is well established and you will be joining a team who participate in an MSK "hot-reporting" service, providing clinical reports to support our A&E as well as providing a Radiographer-Led Discharge service (between the hours of 9AM to 9PM Monday to Friday).

Flexible working will be considered but participation in the occasional evening shift in hot-reporting will be necessary for those who report MSK examinations.

Our team is led by a Lead CXR Radiographer and a Lead MSK Radiographer. The selected candidates will report to the Lead Radiographer and Reporting Service Lead.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to be a day-to-day manager of a team of enthusiastic band 5 and 6 radiographers, offering support and day to day leadership in the department.

They will also be expected to provide clinical leadership and expertise in x-ray positioning, anatomy and exposures.

If you have the necessary experience and would like the opportunity to hone your skills this is the post for you. Successful applicants will form a core part of the x-ray team as well as dealing with managerial and logistical aspects associated with running an efficient and patient centred service on our 9 x-ray rooms.

We currently undertake a wide range of examinations and support our position as one of the region's leading paediatric centres as well as being one of the busiest A&E departments in Greater Manchester.

Training will be provided by Radiologists for upskilling into other areas of plain-film reporting as and when required by the department.

About us

This post is Monday to Friday. Shifts will be variable and participation in the hot-reporting service for MSK reporters is expected.

It is open to external candidates as well as those who may already work within the Trust however a qualification in x-ray reporting must be held.

Bolton Foundation Trust strives to be a great place to work and has many opportunities for development and benefits such as our Vivup employee benefits programme for discounts on a wide variety of items.
