Job summary
20 hours per week with the Evening and Night Community Nursing service
The Band 6 Sister / Charge nurse in Community nursing is a key member of the divisional senior nursing and leadership team, responsible for providing the very best care to patients within the community and home, wherever that may be. In addition you will lead a team of nurses and other key members of the care team contributing tothe development and delivery of clinical nursing care, maintaining and improvingprofessional standards and the development of nursing standards within your area of practice.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Integrated Community Services Division, in a senior nursing role as a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse with the Evening and Nights Out-of-Hours Community Nursing Team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust
As a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse you and your team will work in line with agreed objectives and quality standards which will then contribute to delivering high quality, safe and effective patient services within the District Nursing Service.
What are we looking for from you:
First and foremost we are looking for someone with some experience in a nursing leadership role, ideally with extensive community nursingexperience.
We also want to work with someone who always puts the patient at the heart of every decision and discussion. These roles require individuals with passion, commitment, excellent communication skills, team work, vision and the desire to drive standards in order to ensure patient safety remains a top priority.
You are encouraged to maintain your Covid vaccination status unless medically exempt and will be supported to access information and guidance, to inform decisions that supports vaccine confidence, protects yourself and patients.

You will therefore be required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption if you are successful at interview. Health information is classed as special category data under UK GDPR legislation therefore, vaccination/exemption confirmation will be processed and stored in line with Data protection Act 2018.
