Job summary
We are looking for a resilient, robust, self motivated clerical officer to join our Single Point of Access team. The successful applicant will provide general admin and clerical duties.
Processing referrals, inputting data, taking telephone queries, Booking appointments, cancelling clinics, preparing reports, photocopying and other general office duties. There will also be a requirement to cover reception duties when necessary.
Main duties of the job
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Bolton Borough Council are working in partnership to deliver efficient and effective patient-centred, integrated services across the health economy to reduce hospital admissions and support people to remain at home.
In order to meet this objective, we are seeking to appoint a Clerical Officer who is a flexible individual with excellent communication, IT and organisational skills to become part of the Single Point of Access clerical team within the Integrated Community Services Division.
The role will be part of a clerical team that works over seven days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, typical shifts 8-4 & 9-5 this also includes weekend working currently on a 1 in 4 working weekend. This is a 365 days a year service.
Duties will include: Processing referrals, inputting data, taking telephone queries, preparing reports, booking appointments, cancelling clinics photocopying and other general office duties.
Experience of working within healthcare would be preferable though full training will be provided.
The post is 37.5 hours over 7 days a week. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours to cover the service at times of peak pressure.
There will also be a requirement to cover reception duties when required, full training will be provided.
