Health Care Assistant - AFC Band 3.
Full and part time rotational poston a 12 month temporary contract (reviewed annually)
The Integrated Community Paediatric Service (ICPS) is looking for enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Healthcare Support Worker's (HCSW) to support the Children's Care Package Service. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate empathetic sensitive and compassionate approach to all children, young people families and carers.

Main duties of the job
The Care Package Service supports children and youngpeople with complex health needsand their families across all community settings- home, school and social activities. There may be times when this supportis also required within the hospital or hospice setting. Care is delivered as commissionedby the Clinical Commissioning Groupthroughout a 24 hour period, 7 days a week.
Upon appointment, a 6 week induction period will be offered, with in training and competence assessments supported by a dedicated nurse led training team to prepare staff for the role.New staff will also be supported to complete Bolton NHS Foundation Trust's Care Certificate Course within the first 6 months of appointment.
Upon completion of the induction period and training, HCSW's will be expected to work day/night shifts as per care rota with children and young people in their home, school or, on occasion, hospital/hospice settings (as lone workers, indirectly supervised by registered nurses). You will follow detailed, individualised care plans and Trust policies and procedures.
