Full Time Sexual Health Nurse - Band 6.
Base: LANCE BURN HEALTH CENTRE, SALFORD, M6 5QX
We are seeking to recruit an experienced ,motivated and forward thinking sexual health nurse to join the integrated sexual health teams at Bolton and Salford . A flexible approach, which meets the changing needs of the service, is essential. You will work in all areas of the service across and be based at Lanceburn Health Centre .
You will have a minimum of 2 years experience and a recognised sexual health qualification and/or reproductive health qualification. (You must be willing to undertake further training if you only possess one qualification.) and be able to meet the requirements of the person specification.
The service provides an integrated sexual, reproductive and HIV service as well as specialist clinics. It operates on a Hub and spoke model with the main hub located at Lanceburn Health centre and community clinics across the borough. We are seeking someone passionate and knowledgeable about sexual health and wellbeing who is flexible who enjoys working with a diverse patient group.

Main duties of the job
The primary responsibility of the post holder is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients, and to develop and promote an integrated service that encompasses all aspects of sexual health, contraceptive provision & HIV within sexual and reproductive health. Supporting and deputising in the absence of the senior nurse. Management of the clinical area. Support other staff in area of HIV.
Shift patterns will work to six days (once resumed following the suspension of Saturday clinics throughout covid) with the post holder working across the hubs and spoke clinics.

The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.
