Main duties of the job

Be responsible for your continuing professional development, actively participating in supervision, peer support and training and development programmes.Manage a caseload including prioritisation and delegation of work to therapy assistants, performing patient assessments and making a clinical judgement of the patient's needs. Develop, implement, evaluate and modify patient treatment programmes ensuring relevant pathways of care are followed in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team with onward referral to other agencies as appropriate.Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records complying with Trust policies and procedures, upholding statutory, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and HCPC standards and codes of professional conduct.

Essential

  • Broad range of experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level including managing respiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Good written communication skills
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Understanding of professional standards and code of conduct
  • Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs.
  • Demonstrates an awareness & understanding of supporting equality and valuing diversity within the role
  • Shows evidence of clinical reasoning skills demonstrating knowledge of respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal and discharge planning skills
