Job summary
As a member of the Destruction and Retention Team you will support the programme of appraising health records in line with National Legislation and local Standard Operating procedures.
You will be able to display attention to detail and excellent key board skills alongside an enthusiastic approach to work.
You will be required to handle and move boxes of health records which involves bending and kneeling and will be required to sit in one position for long periods at a time with high levels of concentration required.
You will be based at Fairfield General Hospital but will be required to work across Other Trust sites.

Main duties of the job
Duties include:
- Moving and handling multiple volumes of paper health records,
- Retrieving and tracking records from storage using PAS / Patient Centre
- Appraising records to identify destruction orretention criteria, following both National and local specific guidance and legislation
- Complete on line documentation to support audit trails
- Able to maintain long periods of concentration.
- Liaise with other Health Records Services in regard to the location of health records
- Use own initiative where appropriate
- Identify any improvements in the service / process to line manger
- Display NCA trust values daily
