Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our friendly and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy Team at Royal Oldham Hospital.
Applications are welcome from both SaLTs seeking a Band 6 Specialist position in the adult acute setting and self-motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 SaLT applicants seeking to achieve their NQPs and dysphagia competencies, with the expectation of progression to a Band 6 position when those are successfully completed.
Working within an existing team that covers general medical, surgical, neonatal and critical care, as well as offering videofluoroscopy and FEES, there are plenty of opportunities for development and clinical supervision.
Main duties of the job
To provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders to patients referred from the adult general medical and surgical wards at Royal Oldham Hospital.
We are a team of approximately 8.0wte SaLTs / SaLTAs with a breadth of experience in general medical / surgical, Critical Care and Neonatal and Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy. Teamworking in a supportive environment is at the core of our ethos to ensure a great experience for both our patients and our staff alike.
