Consultant Urological Surgeon - General Urology
Consultant Urological Surgeon to deliver general & core Urology for Salford Care Organisation and the wider Northern Care Alliance.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop an interest in core Urology, Bladder outflow obstruction and take part in the 1 in 12 on call rota.
The Consultant Urological Surgeon post will predominantly be based at Salford Care Organisation with clinical commitments at the Pendleton Gateway and Rochdale Infirmary.
The Urology unit at Salford is linked with The Christie Hospital Cancer Centre. The duties of the post will focus on general Urology and emergency Urology . The successful applicant will work closely with an established team of 13 (10 WTE) Consultant Urological Surgeons.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join an established existing team of 16 (9 WTE) consultant urological surgeons providing secondary and tertiary services to a catchment population served by Salford Care Organisation and the Northern Care Alliance.
The post will be based at Salford Care Organisation, though some activity may be undertaken at other sites within the Northern Care Alliance. The successful applicant will take part in an on call rota of 1:12 and must have the skills and experience to manage urological emergencies. It is important that the applicant has a flexible approach to team working particularly with respect to elective and emergency work.
You are required to be on the specialist register, have the certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Urology, or recognised equivalent, or to be within six months of obtaining it at the time of interview.
