Job summary
Ward T3 is a Surgical ward, predominantly Vascular, which arelooking for a highly motivated health care assistance to join our team. We are a fast paced unit with a high turn over of patients. The team is looking for somebody who has lots of enthusiasm for patient care and a positive attitude.
To assist the healthcare practitioner to carry out routine health related activities to ensure patient focused care. To provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the work area. To provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
Completion of an NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care or equivalent training is essential for this role, please refer to the job description.

Main duties of the job
- Establish and maintain communication with patients, relatives and carers, working in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care
- Contribute to own personal development
- Assist in maintaining own and others' health, safety and security
- Contribute ideas for service improvement
- Ensure own actions help to maintain quality and patient safety
- Undertake routine assessment tasks related to individuals' health and well-being, making modifications within prescribed parameters and reporting back to Senior Staff on patients' progress
- Assist in delivering programmes of care to meet individuals' health and well-being, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work flexibly and to meet the demands of the service
