Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join the team on the Diabetes & Endocrine Outpatient DepartmentWe are looking for an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant willing to get stuck in and hit the ground running.
You'll be someone who works well under pressure, is a great team player as well as being self-motivated and able to work independently when needed. You'll be someone who truly understands the need for care, consideration and respect for our patients but also applies these qualities to your team members.
A 'can do' attitude and determination to be flexible and embrace change to deliver the best patient care is essential as well as a desire to grow and improve our ever growing service.
Your communication skills will be second to none, working collaboratively with patients, relatives/carers and colleagues to help plan a safe and seamless journey throughout out the diabetes outpatient center.

Main duties of the job
Salford Royal Hospital has a Diabetes & Endocrine Outpatients department where we deliver a wide variety of clinics some of which include : blood clinics, diabetes and endocrine and weight management.
The main duties of the job will includes the coordinating the clinics, venipuncture, height, weight, clinical observations, chaperoning and managing patient flow. To work within trust policy's. To supports patients within the department and act as an advocate.
