Job summary

Fairfield General Hospital provides a unique and much needed service not only to its local community but also across Greater Manchester.

This post is 30 hours per week Monday - Sunday

The post holder will work as part of a team, ensuring that patient food is delivered to wards and that all service equipment is clean and maintained to ensure food safety standards are achieved

They will work alongside catering assistants in the service and distribution of patients meals.

The successful candidate must have a "can do" approach ensuring every effort has been made to meet excellent front line customer care service.

Main duties of the job

Ensure the timely delivery of patient food to wards and the collection of catering trolleys.

Loading the prepared food into the correct food trolleys.

To assist in the general cleaning of the Patients Kitchen and the catering equipment within.

Some basic food preparation may be required.

Ensuring all relevant temperatures are recorded correctly.

Support the kitchen team in general cleaning duties.

Assist with putting away deliveries as required

Distributing catering goods to wards as required.
