Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Critical Care Unit for an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive individual who is able to work with minimal supervision on a range of tasks. The successful applicant will need to be comfortable working with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
Main duties include supporting the management and co-ordination of Critical Care medical rota's across Salford and Bury. You will be the first port of call when staff wish to amend their roster or swap/cancel shifts.
You will provide day-to day support by ensuring an adequate level of staffing is achieved in line with the minimum staffing requirements on Critical Care Units. This will be facilitated through maximisation of resources. It is your responsibility for initiating the necessary action to maintain service needs and requirements.
Main duties of the job
With previous experience of working in a health care setting and a detailed knowledge of rota's, you will have an eye for detail together with excellent organisation and planning skills. Good communication skills are essential for this role as you will be liaising with a range of staff including the Senior Management Team, Consultants and NHSP support teams.
The successful candidate will have extensive administrative experience and will require a high level of competency and proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages, an understanding of the SMART Rostering system will be an advantage. The ability to build successful relationships with Senior Clinicians and Managers along with other teams within the service is essential.
