Job summary
We now have two vacancies for a part time (30 hours), Band 3 Administrator to work at St James' House in Salford.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the practice team and to undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. You will ensure that all administrative processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner and will facilitate effective communication between patients, carers, clinicians, medical staff, and other admin & clerical colleagues. You will be expected to participate in cover arrangements for other Admin & Clerical staff as required.
Main duties of the job
- To communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers to maximise delivery of care.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments.
- Register new patients and maintain up-to-date records for existing patients.
- Answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing patient/carer enquiries.
- Providing administrative support to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Handling prescription requests and coordinating with pharmacies.
- To check and update patient demographic details as required on relevant departmental systems.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that further actions are completed following receipt of clinical correspondence and telephone communication.
- To ensure that all information relating to patients and staff is accurately documented, stored confidentially and is password protected.
