We have positions available to support the Dermatology Service based at Salford Royal Hospital/Turnpike House in Salford.
Main duties of the job
As a Medical Secretary your main duties will cover:
- Medical audio transcription of clinical correspondence;
- Carry out administrative instructions dictated in the correspondence including booking appointments via the Booking and Scheduling Department.
- Update NPSA16 investigation tracker following transcription of correspondence.
- Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff and external agencies.
- Undertake routine office duties including printing, scanning and filing.
- Organising your workload to meet our KPI's. To do this we need you to:
- Be able to prioritise your workload effectively.

- Have an excellent eye for detail.
- Be confident using a computer and Microsoft Office.
- Have an excellent telephone manner.
- Be able to communicate effectively and manage patient expectation.
