Job summary

An excellent opportunity has become available to join us as a Colorectal Specialist Nurse.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with all members of the multi-professional team to ensure that patients receive seamless care within the Trust and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist advice to support the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care.
  • Deliver care programs and interventions as needed, ensuring a high standard of nursing practice.
  • Carry out specialized nursing procedures with competence and confidence.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of education and training programs for staff and learners, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

Main duties of the job

1. Establish and maintain effective communication with various individuals and groups on complex potentially stressful topics in a range of situations.

2. Develop knowledge and practice in an area of work.

3. Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others in own work area.

4. Contribute to the development of services.

5. Contribute to quality improvement.

6. Promote people's equality, diversity and rights.

7. Assess and address people's health and wellbeing needs when those needs are complex and change across the caseload.

8. Develop practice in addressing individuals health and wellbeing needs.

9. Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.

10. Assist with research and development.
