Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust

Job summary

We are delighted to offer candidates the opportunity to join The Hospital @ Night Team as iBleep Coordinator.

iBleep is a electronic clinical paging system which is proven to be particularly effective during the "Out of Hours" period and during weekend working where there is a requirement for all calls to be filtered through a central coordinator.

iBleep promotes team working with secure task management; as a result, patient risk is significantly reduced and ensures that a priority call cannever be left unattended.

The system also allows an organisation to implement the roles of specialist practitioners to cover tasks such as blood and fluid related work and this reduces the incidences of this type of work being allocated to junior doctors, leaving them with more time to spend with the patients who need them the most.

The Hospital @ Night Team at Salford Care Organisation, Northern Care Alliance have been successfully utilising iBleep to ensure patients are seen by the right practitioner at the right time for a number of years.

Working hours are from 16:30hrs until 00:30hrs, covering a 7 day service based in the Control Centre at Salford Care Organisation, Northern Care Alliance. Team members will be managed and supported by the Site Coordinator and H@N Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, utilising clinical assessment skills to support clinicians across all specialities in improving patient outcome and operational efficiency.

Main duties of the job

Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the out of hours clinical team by triaging iBleep calls, alerting clinicians to high-priorityjobs and ensuring safe, achievable workloads are maintained.

Post holders will have significant clinical experience to be able to identify patients who require immediate review.

Team members are responsible for the operational maintenance of the iBleep system with the support of IM&T to resolve any technical issues andwill activate the "downtime" protocol in the event of a full system failure.

Successful candidates will also support new iBleep users to become proficient when using the system and support with any educational aspects of this as required.
