As Clinical Lead you should:Strive to provide an efficient and high quality ultrasound imaging service, whilst dealing with patients in a caring professional manner.Ensure there is adequate service provision in place at all times. Plan the Ultrasound service to meet the demands of the Trust.At the NCA, we offer services in general medical, gynaecology, obstetrics, vascular, MSK, head & neck and paediatric ultrasound. We actively encourage participation in departmental improvement and in training and CPD.A recent structure change within Ultrasound has enabled us to establish different roles which have created opportunities for staff and have assisted in better management of the service. There are more opportunities to come, and our ties within Greater Manchester and with higher education institutions provide many possibilities.As the Ultrasound Clinical Lead (Non-Obs) you would be responsible for NOUS services across all sites of the Northern Care Alliance (NCA) NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the Ultrasound Service Manager and Directorate Managers, you are responsible for leading both clinically as well as manage the ultrasound service to help deliver a high-quality patient focused service.Lead on Quality Improvement projects and programmes by working collaboratively with appropriate teams to deliver excellent patient care.With the management team, ensure key performance targets are delivered.To continuously review ultrasound services through the lens of improving performance to reach a sustainable or improved profitable state, whilst continuing to deliver truly effective patient-centred care.To provide operational leadership to the ultrasound department to ensure effective and timely delivery of performance indicators and drive operational excellence, supporting the delivery of a High-Performance Management System.Responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources including development of robust recovery planning where deviation occurs.To develop shared objectives promoting a culture of collaborative working and empowering staff to achieve both performance and transformational change.To demonstrate excellent people management skills to inspire and motivate, both direct reports and wider colleagues and enable the delivery and improvement of services.To adhere to the CO/NCA policies, processes and ways of working to contribute to the achievement of the NCA strategies.
