As part of a newly formed Enterprise Architecture function, we're seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Architect to join our Digital Services team to lead the way in creating scalable and future-proof solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape Business Architecture and the Enterprise Architecture for a large NHS trust.
You will play a pivotal role in aligning business strategies with digital solutions. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to design, develop, and implement architecture that supports our digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that our services are innovative, efficient, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure digital strategies align with business goals and objectives.
- Architecture Development:Design and develop comprehensive business architectures that support digital initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, understand challenges, and provide architectural guidance.
- Business Analysis Management:the day-to-day leadership, management and guidance of a team of Business Analysts by improving ways of working and maturing the function.
- Capabilities:Take ownership for understanding our as-is enterprise capabilities and helping to define our to-be capabilities as well as value streams and Patient / User journeys.
- Innovation:Drive innovation by exploring and implementing emerging technologies that enhance digital services.
- Governance:Establish and maintain architectural standards and principles to ensure consistency and alignment across projects.
- Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps to guide the organisation through its digital journey.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business architecture, preferably within a digital services environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and digital technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex business problems and develop strategic solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Innovation Mindset: Keen interest in emerging technologies and their application in digital services.
- Leadership: Demonstrable leadership skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Certification: Relevant certifications in business architecture or related fields are a plus.
