As the Pharmacy Systems and Medical Gases Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of robust medical gas processes and will be one of the automated dispensing cabinet system administrators who maintain the system at Salford royal.

There will be a requirement to participate in a weekend and late-night Rota to ensure we can maintain a safe and effective service.
Main duties of the job
You will:
- Support the Chief Technician for Pharmacy Systems and information in providing accurate data on medical gas usage within the trust.
- Escalate issues regarding stock through the appropriate channels.
- Work closely with other health care professionals to maintain good cylinder practice.
- Work as a system administrator for the automated dispensing cabinets for which you will be expected to ensure system integrity is maintained at all times. You will also use different reports to feedback any issues or areas of improvement within the system. This may include reports for the Medicines management group (MMG).
- Assist in identifying and implementing service improvements across the department, working closely with other health professionals with the goal of achieving positive patient outcomes.
- Contribute to final accuracy checking after course completion.
