Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the DRRC for a new Research Project Manager tojoin the DRRC team and to support the development and delivery of a portfolio of research projects.
The Donal O'Donoghue Renal Research Centre (DRRC) was formally established in March 2022 in recognition of the immense contribution of the late Professor O'Donoghue to nationaland international kidney care.The post holder will be involved in ensuring that all research undertaken safeguards the wellbeing of the patients and is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for Research. In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will facilitate the production of good quality research and be instrumental in implementing and ensuring that research studies run to the appropriate milestones and targets.
Previous experience workingwith PPIE will be advantageous.This is a band 7 post and salary will depend on relevant experience, training andqualifications. Post will be for 12 months in the first instance as 0.5WTE, with a target startdate of November 2024. Post may be extended after 12 months, depending on progressand funding stream available.

Main duties of the job
Effectively and efficiently manage a portfolio of projects
Ensure that project development takes account of patients'/ service user needs
and their voice
Provide leadership and support to those involved in the delivery of the nominated
projects; achieved through coaching and facilitating discussions to encourage
creative thinking and identify ways to drive the projects forward
Provide coordination of project documentation, ensuring deadlines are understood
and adhered to and that project objectives are clearly articulated and understood
Ensure projects are effectively resourced, inter-dependencies are managed,
ensure that all key stakeholders are identified, and roles and responsibilities
agreed and communicated effectively
Drive the efficient and effective delivery of projects and, managing stakeholder and
customer expectations throughout the life cycle of the project
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear
and effective channels of communication are established and maintained
Accountable for the management of all project documentation in a manner
consistent with GCP
Proactively develop and maintain the project risk and issues schedule, regularly
monitoring, updating and reporting on progress
Monitor individual project budgets and expenditure forecasts under managerial
direction
