Job summary

The ANNP will contribute to the delivery of a responsive, high quality neonatal service working as part of the Tier 1 medical rota. Within their role they are expected to take on leadership skills as well as contributing to quality improvement projects within time for research and development. The ANNP role works across NNU, Labour ward, Postnatal ward and transitional care.

Main duties of the job

You will work between Neonatal Unit, Post-natal and labour wards on a full time Tier 1 rota within a team of 11 ANNPs, paediatric trainees, neonatal clinical fellows. The Neonatal Unit is one of Greater Manchester's 3 tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and has 9 Intensive Care cots, 9 High Dependency cots and 19 Special Care cots, and offers the full spectrum of medical neonatal care. The state-of-the-art unit is housed in the new purpose-built Women and Children's Building. The unit is led by a dedicated team of experienced consultant neonatologists.

You will be expected to continue your professional development and ample training opportunities are available within the department. The Trust has links with University of Manchester for undergraduate training of medical students and is a major contributor to several research studies in the region.
