Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon
Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
This job is now closed
Job summary
We are looking to appoint a consultant colleague for our developing department. To complement our existing services and sub specialisms, we would like to appoint an enthusiastic 'paediatric and/or medical retina/uveitis' specialist to join our expanding team. If you do not have expertise in these specific fields but have experience in another specialised Ophthalmic service, then we would still welcome your application for consideration.
Our desire is to provide excellent care for our patients in a happy and motivated team. This position is in addition to our existing medical retina/uveitis' and paediatric consultants.
This does represent an excellent opportunity to have input into shaping and developing services to provide the best care for our patients.
Main duties of the job
The Trust currently provides Ophthalmology outpatient services at Oldham Integrated care centre, Rochdale Infirmary and Fairfield General Hospital. All day case surgical activity takes place at Rochdale Infirmary.
This post will require some cross-site working and will be a mix of clinic and surgical sessions. There is an on call commitment attached to this post. We would welcome an opportunity to show you our unit and to discuss with you how we are working to improve the care that we provide to patients.
