Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic registered health care professional, with an interest in perioperative care to provide senior leadership to the directorate of perioperative care and anaesthesia. You will be working with the senior clinical team providing nursing and AHP leadership to the directorate which includes operating theatres, pre op assessment, post operative care, Surgical admissions, Day Case Ward and Sterile Services and the Greater Manchester Trauma Hospital Theatres .

This role is open to both registered nurses and Operating Department Practitioners

Main duties of the job

Develop and maintain communication with people on complex matters, issues, and ideas and/or in complex situations

Maintain and develop an environment and culture that improves health, safety and security.

Work in partnership with others to develop, take forward and evaluate direction, for a range of policies, service developments and strategies for the whole group

Develop a culture that improves quality and reduces harm.

Promote equality and value diversity.

Coordinate, monitor and review the use of financial resources

Plan, coordinate and monitor the delivery of services and / or other projects

Plan, develop, monitor and review the recruitment, deployment and management of people for the Division.

Accountable for the delivery of clinical care for the whole nursing service for the group

Facilitate the development of capacity and capability.
