Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of our Complex Needs team, which includes social communication. The role will also involve the delivery of social communication interventions with early years and primary school aged children and the delivery of training to parents/carers and colleagues. You will be part of a well-established and experienced group of SLTs, and the role will be based within schools, specialist resource provisions and home settings in Salford.
Due to the nature of the post you will need to be able to travel to different sites as required by the service.
Main duties of the job
- To deliver universal, targeted and specialist clinical work as part of the Speech & Language Therapy Social Communication and Complex Needs team. This includes working with children with varying needs in a range of locations including homes, primary schools and Specialist Resources.
- To assess and diagnose conditions and to plan and implement specialist Speech and Language Therapy programmes of care and treatment and discharge appropriately, using evidence-based practice.
- To devise and deliver training and contribute to the development of the children's workforce.
