We have exciting opportunities for a number of roles for Speciality Doctor within the medical specialities at Rochdale Infirmary and you will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team.
You will complement existing services through the provision of specialist knowledge and expertise in Acute Medicine. The main remit of the post is to play an active part in all aspects of the patient's medical care within the Acute Medical Wards and Same Day Emergency Care Unit.

Consultant training posts will also be considered depending upon the applicant's level of experience.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will be but not limited to:-
- Assessment of medical patients and agreeing a management plan for admission, onward referral or self management where applicable.
- Senior support to the junior medical team.
- Close daily working with the acute medicine team which consists of clinicians and allied health professionals.
- Undertaking medical procedures to include but not limited to Lumbar puncture, ascitic tap/drain
- Daily ward rounds review of patients
