Job summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing for Safeguarding Children and Cared for Children will provide expert professional safeguarding leadership and assurance to the organisation in regards to Safeguarding children, young people, Cared for Children and maternity services across the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will provide leadership and direct line management to the Named Nurses and midwife for safeguarding children, cared for children and maternity service for each care organisation within the Northern Care Alliance
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Associate Director of Nursing for Safeguarding in the delivery of the Northern Care Alliance's Statutory Safeguarding responsibilities, leading a high performing, responsive safeguarding service that focuses on the safeguarding, health and wellbeing of children and young people. They will work alongside the Assistant director of nursing (ADN) for safeguarding adults to develop a think family approach to safeguarding across the Trust.
The post holder will provide expert leadership to the safeguarding children and Care for Children agendas and safeguarding in maternity services for the Northern Care Alliance.
