Working with the wide range of theatre teams including scrub, anaesthesia, anaesthesia, post operative care, admission and discharge areas you will lead on quality auditing, development of safe systems and quality agendas in line with national and local priorities. Engaging the wider community such as education you will support the development of health care providers in safety and quality through the Theatre Assessment & Accreditation System (TAAS) and the Theatre Excellence Programme (TEP). This role is an exciting role that brings together our teams for safe delivery of care in our clinical areas.
Main duties of the job
Provide effective leadership in the perioperative environment with key responsibilities to support and enhance the safe and quality delivery of care
provide assurance through audit process to the directorate senior leadership team that the care provided in theatres and associated areas is safe and of quality
Support positive patient experience through design and pathway management of perioperative patients
Be an expert in infection control matters providing high levels of leadership in cleanliness and professional clinical standards
