Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to join the Clinical Assessment Unit at Rochdale Infirmary.
The Clinical Assessment Unit is a fast paced environment where patient are admitted for assessment and treatment of medical conditions. The unit has 24 beds which includes 8 side rooms. The ward has a dedicated nursing team who manage the patients along with the medical consultants. We work very closely with members of the MDT to ensure that patients receive the best care.
We focus on delivering a high standard of care to all our patients, and you will be an active team member in ensuring this.
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to help support our patients with all aspects of daily living and to encourage independence where possible.
We would expect you to have good time keeping skills. be able to work well in a team but also be able to use your own initiative, with patient care being at the centre of all work carried out.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
Main purpose of the job:
- To undertake the role of assisting in the delivery of all aspects of care to ensure patient centred care is delivered safely and in a timely manner.
- To provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the unit at all times.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care and enable patients to achieve all aspect of daily living.
