Community Infant Feeding Support Worker

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an infant feeding support worker within a Community Infant Feeding Team working in partnership with the health visiting teams and family hubs within Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR).
Please note that the funding for this role is fixed and will end on 31st March 2025.
Main duties of the job
- To work with appropriate supervision alongside the community specialist infant feeding lead to undertake a range of tasks including promoting and supporting breastfeeding
- To work with families who are experiencing feeding difficulties in the early post-natal weeks and months
- Making initial contact to parents who have just had a baby to offer early interventions and support
- To offer 1:1 support or group sessions across the 5 family hubs in HMR
- To work with the Infant Feeding Team offering families evidence-based information and support around infant feeding and nutrition.
- Deliver community groups that support the infant feeding agenda in line with standard operating procedures.
- To undertake any other reasonable duty, which is appropriate to the band, when requested by senior staff.
