Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen offering a part time Housekeeper to work within the Children's Community Nursing Services base in Heywood but covering Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale as part of Rochdale care Organisation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient high-quality service to patients and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient equipment and supplies for the children's community nursing team and the children with health needs in the community.

The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidate and gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of patients, multi-disciplinary team, and relatives.

You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments.

The ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is an essential component to consistently facilitate a patient focused approached.

Main duties of the job

We require a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Housekeeper within the Childrens Community Nursing Services. This role includes the undertaking of daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, audits, and cleanliness of the environment.

You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as settle within the team. Regular feedback and one-to-one will be provided to ensure that you stay happy in your job.

Duties include supporting equipment needs of children with complex health needs in the community, management of stock, supporting maintenance of equipment, also including general housekeeping of the unit.

It is essential that you are able to work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.

You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
