Job summary

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an outstanding individual to lead the Trust's Clinical and Digital Applications Teams.

The Trust is embarking on a new Digital Strategy which will result in the implementation of a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.

In line with the above ambition, experienced gained in supporting and managing application estates during EPR implementations would be particularly beneficial. It is envisaged that the post holder will utilise their experience to help the applications team transition from multiple legacy clinical systems towards a single EPR.

Main duties of the job

Delivering indirect care to patients by supporting clinical staff in their use of our range of digital systems, including the Trust's EPR's.

Supporting the delivery, maintenance, support and development of the Trusts clinical and non clinical systems and the systems integration and open data architecture.

Provide highly specialist advice to clinical and non clinical staff within the Trust and outside locally and nationally.

Implementation of appropriate security processes in accordance legislation and NHS guidelines

Contribute to the delivery of the Trust's Strategy and plans and will work in partnership with operational and corporate teams to achieve positive outcomes that make a contribution to the provision of health services within the Trust, across the local health economy and beyond.

Lead and be responsible for the development and delivery of identified clinical and non clinical applications and development.

Responsible for the day to day delivery and further developments of the systems within the remit of application support and development

The post-holder will work closely with senior managers and their teams within Informatics & Digital, across the Trust and external partners ensuring the use of, and using, highly developed and significant specialist knowledge and practical experience of the EPR, clinical systems and non-clinical systems to ensure the successful delivery and development.
